This is an impressive structure that has been restored sympathetically. Essentially it's a massive cylinder designed to collect rain water for the palace. But what's striking is its size and heft for it has clearly been designed to endure. Unfortunately you cannot proceed down the steps to the interior but that's probably for the best.
