مطعم ريد سي جريل - تجربة مميزة للمأكولات البحرية والشواء على شاطئ البحر في العقبة

Red Sea Grill is a seasonal seafood restaurant in Aqaba at Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba on King Hussein Street. Set alongside the Gulf of Aqaba, it centres the dining experience on fresh seafood, outdoor seating and live cooking in a calm resort setting. It suits couples looking for a candlelit dinner as well as families and groups of friends who want an evening meal by the water. The official Red Sea Grill page currently lists summer opening from 6:30 PM to midnight.

For travellers comparing a fish restaurant in Aqaba with a more conventional hotel dining room, the main distinction here is the setting. Red Sea Grill is part of the wider منتجع وريزيدنسز موفنبيك العقبة complex, but its identity is tied closely to the shore, outdoor evening dining and seafood prepared within view at live cooking stations. It is a dinner destination rather than an all-day restaurant, and its seasonal schedule makes advance confirmation important.

A seafood restaurant shaped by its Aqaba setting

Aqaba is Jordan’s only coastal city, so a seafood meal here carries a sense of place that cannot be replicated in Amman, Petra or the Dead Sea. Red Sea Grill makes that connection direct: Mövenpick describes the restaurant as occupying a location alongside the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba and serving seafood freshly caught from the Red Sea. The hotel also identifies Red Sea Grill as one of its signature dining venues, with fresh seafood at the centre of the concept.

That makes the restaurant relevant to more than a general search for somewhere to eat. It is designed for diners specifically seeking a seafood restaurant, fish restaurant or beach restaurant in Aqaba where the food and coastal surroundings belong to the same experience. The name signals a grill-led identity, while the official description confirms live cooking stations where chefs prepare food in front of guests.

The current public information does not provide a fixed list of fish species or permanent dishes. That is useful to understand before visiting. Seafood selection can depend on the restaurant’s current menu and availability, so diners looking for a particular fish, shellfish or preparation should ask what is offered that evening. This is more reliable than arriving with expectations based on an old photo or third-party menu.

What to expect from the seafood and grill concept

Red Sea Grill’s verified focus is fresh seafood rather than a broad menu built around unrelated cuisines. The official restaurant description emphasises seafood from the Red Sea, a carefully selected blend of flavours and preparation by the hotel’s chefs. The live cooking element adds visibility to the process and gives the meal a stronger sense of occasion than a standard plated dinner served entirely from a closed kitchen.

For anyone searching for a grill restaurant in Aqaba, it is worth separating the confirmed experience from assumptions. Live cooking is confirmed, but the hotel’s public page does not specify that every seafood dish is charcoal-grilled or prepared by one fixed method. Ask the team about the available preparation styles if grilling is the main reason for your visit. The same applies to spice level, sauces, side dishes and portion size.

A practical way to order seafood is to begin with three questions: what is available that evening, how it is prepared and whether the portion is intended for one person or for sharing. Families and groups may also want to ask how different choices can be combined across the table. Couples may prefer a simpler order that keeps the pace relaxed and leaves time to enjoy the outdoor setting.

Diners with allergies or dietary restrictions should speak directly with the restaurant before ordering. Fish and shellfish require particularly clear allergen communication, and a live cooking environment does not by itself guarantee separation from other ingredients. The official page does not publish a complete allergen guide, gluten-free policy or cross-contact procedure, so individual requirements should be confirmed with the hotel team rather than assumed.

Beachside atmosphere and outdoor evening dining

The setting is a core part of Red Sea Grill. Mövenpick describes serene outdoor seating beside the Gulf of Aqaba, with candlelight for romantic occasions and enough flexibility for dinner with family or friends. This positions the venue as a beachside restaurant in Aqaba where the surroundings matter as much as the meal.

The tone is better suited to an unhurried evening than a quick meal between activities. A couple can choose it for a date or celebration; a family can use it for a sit-down dinner after a day around the resort or city; and friends can gather around seafood in a setting that feels connected to Aqaba’s coastline. The verified presence of a children’s menu also makes the concept more practical for families with younger diners.

Outdoor dining always comes with variables. Temperature, wind and seasonal operating decisions can affect the experience, and seating closest to the water may be limited. If the location of the table is important, mention that when booking, while understanding that a specific table should not be treated as guaranteed unless the restaurant confirms it.

Guests who prefer indoor air-conditioned dining should also check the available seating format before arrival. The restaurant’s official description strongly emphasises its outdoor area but does not clearly present an indoor alternative. This matters during warmer evenings and for diners whose comfort, mobility or health needs make outdoor conditions a deciding factor.

Live cooking gives the dinner a visible focal point

Live cooking is one of the few specific experience features confirmed on the official restaurant page. It gives guests a view of the chefs at work and creates a focal point beyond the sea-facing setting. For a grill restaurant, this visible preparation helps connect the name of the venue with the meal itself without relying on exaggerated claims about technique.

It can also help diners make more informed choices. A conversation with the service team about the available seafood, preparation and accompaniments is especially useful when the catch or menu changes. If you prefer a particular degree of doneness, lower salt, mild seasoning or a sauce served separately, discuss it when ordering. Requests remain subject to the kitchen’s available dishes and procedures.

The value of live cooking is not speed. It is transparency, theatre and a closer relationship between preparation and the table. Visitors should allow enough time for a full dinner rather than treating the restaurant as a fast seafood stop. This is particularly relevant for groups, mixed orders or evenings when the venue is busy.

Who Red Sea Grill suits best

Red Sea Grill is a strong fit for several clear dining occasions:

  • Couples who want an outdoor, candlelit seafood dinner by the Gulf of Aqaba.
  • Families seeking a resort restaurant with a dedicated children’s menu.
  • Groups of friends who prefer a relaxed evening meal and dishes that can be discussed or shared.
  • Seafood-focused diners who want the current catch to be the starting point of the meal.
  • Visitors comparing a beach restaurant in Aqaba with dining options in the city centre.
  • Guests already staying at Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba who want a seafood dinner within the resort.

It may be less suitable for someone looking for breakfast, lunch, a very quick takeaway meal or a guaranteed year-round restaurant. The current official schedule describes summer evening operation only. It is also not sensible to assume that every dish seen in an older guest photo will still be available.

A family-friendly seafood dinner

The official page highlights a “Power Bites” children’s menu, with items selected for younger diners and presented in a child-friendly way. This is a meaningful point for parents because seafood-led restaurants do not always communicate clearly whether children have separate choices.

Families should still check the current children’s selection, portion sizes and allergy information before visiting. If a child does not eat seafood, confirm what alternatives are available rather than assuming the children’s menu follows a standard hotel format. Highchairs, stroller access and exact seating arrangements are also best confirmed directly because those details are not fully set out on the current official restaurant page.

For families planning a broader stay, the Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba listing provides the connection between the restaurant and the resort. Travellers who are not hotel guests should contact the property about restaurant access, parking and any entry arrangements that may apply on their chosen date.

Romantic dinners and special occasions

Red Sea Grill is also explicitly presented by Mövenpick as a setting for romantic moments by candlelight. The outdoor shore-side layout gives couples a clear reason to choose it over a general-purpose restaurant, especially when the aim is to make dinner the main event of the evening.

For birthdays, anniversaries or other celebrations, contact the restaurant in advance and ask only for arrangements it confirms. A candlelit atmosphere is part of the published concept, but cakes, decorations, specific tables and personalised setups should not be presumed. Clear advance communication avoids misunderstandings and helps the team explain what is possible.

Timing also matters. The listed summer hours begin at 6:30 PM, so an early reservation may suit diners who want a quieter start, while a later table may feel more like a full night-time dinner. Actual atmosphere and table availability will depend on the date, occupancy and weather.

Location at Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba

Red Sea Grill is located at Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba, King Hussein Street, Aqaba. Mövenpick describes the hotel as being in the centre of Aqaba with direct access to its private beach. The restaurant itself is positioned alongside the Gulf of Aqaba, making it a practical dining choice for people staying in the central resort area or planning an evening around the waterfront.

The address published by the restaurant is King Hussein Street, Aqaba, P.O. Box 678, 77110, Jordan. The official contact number is +962 3 203 4020. Because access, seasonal operation and table availability may change, contact the resort directly before travelling to the restaurant.

Opening hours and reservations

The official Red Sea Grill page currently states: “Open in Summer, from 6:30 PM to 12:00 AM.” This is the most useful planning detail and should replace conflicting or unverified schedules found elsewhere online. The wording indicates seasonal operation, so visitors should not convert it into a year-round promise.

Booking is especially sensible for couples, families, groups and anyone who wants outdoor seating. The restaurant page provides a direct booking email, Resort.Aqaba.Outlets@movenpick.com, and lists the hotel telephone number as +962 3 203 4020. When contacting the hotel, give the date, preferred time, number of adults and children, and any dietary or mobility requirements.

It is also worth reconfirming on the day. Seasonal restaurants can adjust operating dates or hours, and weather or private functions may affect service. Direct confirmation is more dependable than relying on a business directory’s automated “open now” label.

How Red Sea Grill compares with other seafood choices in Aqaba

Aqaba has different styles of fish and seafood dining, from casual city restaurants to hotel venues and beachside settings. Red Sea Grill occupies a specific position within that mix: an evening seafood restaurant inside a five-star resort, with outdoor shore-side seating, candlelight, live cooking and a children’s menu.

That does not make it the automatic choice for every diner. Travellers primarily interested in a quick local fish meal may prefer a simpler city restaurant. Diners prioritising a resort atmosphere and a longer dinner beside the Gulf are more closely aligned with Red Sea Grill’s concept. The right choice depends on the occasion, not on a generic “best restaurant” label.

Planning a better visit

A good Red Sea Grill visit starts with confirmation rather than assumption. Check that the restaurant is operating on your date, reserve if the evening matters, and ask about the current seafood selection if you have a specific preference. Families should confirm the children’s choices; guests with allergies should discuss ingredients and kitchen procedures; and non-resort guests should verify access and parking.

Choose the restaurant when the combination of seafood and the Aqaba waterfront is the reason for dining, not simply because you need the nearest meal. Give the experience enough time, keep menu expectations flexible and let the current seafood selection guide the order. That approach fits the restaurant’s seasonal, live-cooking identity and makes better use of its shore-side setting.

This is really a WOW preferred place in Aqaba, its beachfront inside movenpick Aqaba, it have private entrance with parking plus the main access from the hotel
tried long times ago with sheesha, fresh seafood place, a bit expensive than the market considering its inside a 5 star hotel
tip: book table at the first front to enjoy the sea view, and arrive after the sunset as its a bit hot
