3 months agoI have stayed in Bedouin FutureCamp a couple of times because I am learning about different desert skills. Wadi Rum is a safe and interesting environment to learn more, like hiking in a hot environment, navigating by landmarks, finding the best places to wild camp, and handling a camel on my own. The camp is located in the more remote part of the desert, which I find perfect for my kind of activities. Salameh from Bedouin FutureCamp has worked as my guide and mentor Together we make sure I achieve my skills gradually as we find it fit and I feel ready. So not only can I recommend this camp if you like to have an authentic experience in Wadi Rum for a few days. But also if you like to learn some specific desert skills. I always let them know what I like to learn beforehand so we can plan it well.

4 months agoI turned up to Wadi Rum with no accommodation booked after cycling a very long tough day. Booking with many places was misleading as once you pay you then need to pay extra for a 4x4 transfer. I was also being hassled by a tout trying to sell me tours. Salameh was working in the visitor centre, he could see I was struggling to get something sorted and was being harassed. Firstly he got the tourist police to sort out the man who was a problem then after a I had failed arranging other accommodation. Salameh offered to help. Although his camp was shut he offered to help me out by opening it just for me for the one night. He made a few phone calls, got his sun to transport me and my bike to his camp and also arranged someone to be there to make some food. Salameh also took time out of his evening to visit(a 20km sand drive) just to make sure I was OK and join me for a tea by the fire. The camp itselfhad the best view of all, it had a very new fresh clean toilet and shower block, probably the best I had had in Jordan and great camp tent. I had a fantastic night and can't thank him enough for going out of his way to help. A genuine helpful guy. Thanks

7 months agoThe location was increadible, very quiet and far from other camps. We also loved our guide and the jeep tour we did. Everyone was really helpful and friendly, if you have any idea for a tour that you would like to do/activity text them and they will help out. Before booking I compare with many other places and the prices are way lower than other places with a way better quality. We simply loved our stay!

a year agoWe had such a good time in Salameh's camp! The location was perfect to watch the sunset and the stars. Houses were well equipped, the beds were comfy. And the food (both dinner and breakfast) was truly excellent! Would definitely come again, felt very welcome. Very good value for the price as well. The host speaks very good English so we were able to have a nice conversation with him, too.
