Traveling through Jordan with Ramzi and Kathleen of Jordan Allure Tours was nothing short of magical. What stood out most—beyond the awe-inspiring landscapes and rich history—was how safe, respected, and at home I felt every single day. The journey began in Jerash, wandering through majestic Roman ruins before settling into the luxurious Fairmont Hotel in Amman. From there, we made our way down to Petra, with meaningful stops along the way that showed us not just Jordan’s beauty but also its soul. The Old Village Hotel, run by Ramzi’s own family, was warm and authentic, and we even shared a delicious dinner with Ramzi’s sister—a deeply personal and touching experience. Petra itself was breathtaking. The sound and light show at night was surreal, and our daytime tour of the ancient city was full of vivid colors, local characters, and unforgettable photo ops. From Petra, we ventured to Wadi Rum, where our guide Edel took us to perfect sunset vantage points before we enjoyed stargazing through high-powered telescopes under the clearest sky I’ve ever seen. The stay in the bubble tents was a unique and peaceful desert dream. I want to especially note how respectfully and professionally I was treated by every Jordanian I encountered. As I left Jordan, I carried with me a deep appreciation for the warmth and generosity I had experienced throughout the trip. This wasn’t just a tour—it was an immersion into the heart of Jordan, made possible by two of the most caring, professional, and passionate guides I’ve ever met. Everything about it was top notch: from the delicious local food and comfortable accommodation to Ramzi's expert knowledge of the desert and its secrets. You know you're in good hands when your guide (Ramzi) still has a child-like energy and excitement about somewhere he was been working for decades. He manages to perfectly balance knowledge and information with humour and infectious laughter, which makes you feel completely at ease and informed at the same time. The team truly went above and beyond for us and I can't wait to return next year with my family.
