Omnar is an exceptional person, he accompanied us on this splendid tour of Jordan, always making us feel safe, pampered, as if we were at home, moreover he has a great sense of humor, the days pass cheerfully and you feel less tired from the many stops he manages to make you do without realizing it. I recently returned from a five-day private tour of Jordan with Omran Brkawi of Jordan Day Tour and More and working with Omran made the trip. He is the owner of the company and personally handled our entire itinerary, driving me and my partner from the moment we landed in Amman to the moment we departed. He met us at Queen Alia International Airport right on time, standing with a sign with my name on it, which was a fun way to start the trip after a long flight. From there, he drove us to our hotel in Amman, then took us into the city for dinner on Rainbow Street. That first evening set the tone for the week. He is very personable and chatty, but also professional and attentive to what we needed after travel. Across the week, our route included local markets with a tour of downtown Amman, the Citadel, the Roman Theater, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum. I didn’t think we would have time, but Omran delighted and surprised us with a trip to Aqaba where we went on a glass bottom boat on the Red Sea! Each destination was more amazing than the next, Jordan and its people are a treasure. Omran handled all the logistics: timing, routes, fuel stops, rest breaks and coordination at each destination. We never worried about how to get from one place to another, where to park or whether we would arrive on time. He kept a steady eye on the clock without ever making us feel rushed. It is important to note that Omran is a driver and trip facilitator, not a formal historical or archaeological guide. At the major sites you hire local guides who specialize in those places, which is exactly what we wanted. Omran’s value is in getting you everywhere safely and smoothly, helping you navigate the culture and practical details, and using his local knowledge to improve your experience making it truly stress free. His local knowledge made a real difference. In addition to the main sights, he took us to places we never would have known to request: neighborhood markets, local restaurants where we were clearly the only tourists, and scenic spots with remarkable views. These experiences gave us a better sense of daily life in Jordan and broke up the more tourist heavy sites in a very welcome way. He was also proactive about protecting our interests. At several points he quietly stepped in to make sure we were paying what a local would pay, not an inflated “tourist price.” He gave us clear, practical advice on tipping, bargaining and what to expect at different sites. I always felt that he was watching out for us, both financially and in terms of comfort and safety. Safety is worth highlighting. I felt safe in Jordan the entire time, on the roads, in the cities and at every site we visited. Omran is a calm, skilled driver, even in heavy traffic and on mountain roads. He checked in regularly about how we were feeling, whether we needed water or rest stops, and whether the pace of the day was right for us. Jordan is a beautiful country and a treasure that deserves to be seen thoughtfully. Traveling with Omran allowed us to focus on the experience instead of the logistics. He loves Jordan, he clearly enjoys meeting people from around the world, and that combination made our trip both smooth and memorable. We had Omran and his team for 4 days. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, very good at communication and very kind . He was full of good suggestions and went above and beyond the duties of a driver. As two Srilankan/British women he was concerned about our safety and always made us feel comfortable. He recommended a fantastic Wadi Rum camp which was so superior to the one we had initially chosen. He treated us to a wonderful boat ride on the Red Sea. He was full of recommendations and would check in with you regularly and nothing was too much for him. We would definitely recommend Omran 100%, he made our trip extra special and we feel like he is now a friend . We will certainly tell all our friends and if you need a driver, look no further!!
