4 months agoOne of the new museums in Amman that was once the Jordanian parliament building until 1978, and is the place where Jordan gained its independence in the late 1940s. Compared to many other museums, this place has limited opening hours. Entering the place is free, and the lady at the reception desk might give you a free tour. The building has a main meeting room, the guest reception hall, a phone operator room, a few offices, and 3 rooms displaying the parliamentary history of Jordan. Expect to spend 30 minutes here. The place is worth the visit.

4 months agoVery good review Today, I visited the Museum of Parliamentary Life in Jordan, which documents the stages of political life since the establishment of the emirate after World War I. Although it was a holiday, the supervisor welcomed us with warmth, courtesy, and respect. She introduced us to the evolution of parliamentary life from the establishment of the Emirate of Transjordan to the declaration of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which marks Independence Day on May 25, 1946. The place is beautiful and ancient, rich in modern Jordanian history and reflecting the spirit of the state and its political journey. I thank the supervisor for the detailed explanations she provided, especially regarding the royal dress and the evolution of the Jordanian flag. We hope that future generations will preserve this national heritage, as it reflects their identity and bridges the past to the present. All the best and perseverance.
