Rum Planet Camp is a traditional Bedouin camp, located in Wadi Rum desert that is only 48 km away from Aqaba and about 10 km from Rum Village.
Rum Planet Camp is operated by the Bedouins themselves aiming at making your desert experience as individual as possible. Since the camp is hosting a maximum of 25 people, you will not only get the service you deserve but also have the chance to find quietness and get to know the Bedouins. The staff is very friendly, professional and open to explain the diversity of Arab culture. Due to years of experience in guiding tourists through the desert, they can show you the most impressive places of Wadi Rum, no matter if you like to hike up the highest mountain, watch the sun rise from the dunes, or visit the place where Lawrence of Arabia held its strategic meetings.
You can choose from a number of different activities making your stay an individual and exciting experience, such as jeep tours, camel riding tours, hiking or climbing trips. They are also offering very nice after-dinner stargazing, explaining how Arabs in the past used to find their way at night. If you are a professional photographer they can show you the best places to take exactly the pictures you were looking for.

in the last weekThe service was unlike the disgrace I experienced at the previous camp (Moon Camp). You can't expect hotel comfort in the desert, but here it was clean, the staff was helpful in every way, there were always drinks available, delicious food, and Ahmet's astrology knowledge, accompanied by the stars in the middle of the desert, was especially wonderful. It was a chance to see the planets and the star family with the naked eye, and it was free :) Thank you all so much
