The best experince in Jordan. Petra is of course special but Wadi Rum is too underrated, definitely should be part of o e's itinerary in Jordan and Wadi Rum Magic Nature Camp is the perfect place to spend the time in Wadi Rum. From jeep tour to stargazing they have it all. Thanks Rashed and family for hosting us!

A pure Bedouin-style camp with all the amenities in the rooms/tents, including a private bathroom. Magnificent sunset. Very friendly, and we enjoyed the Jordanian cuisine.

Wadi Rum was an amazing experience and this camp made sure of that 100%. Awwad, our guide was funny, spoke good English and could tell us a lot about the desert and life there. The location is remote and therefore very quiet. The food was really delicious and prepared in a special way, in the traditional way underground. We did a half day jeep tour and saw all kinds of beautiful places with beautiful views. We ended with tea at sunset. The tent, dining area and washroom were very clean. In the evening a campfire is made and you can look at the stars while lying down. In short, highly recommended if you go to Wadi Rum!

Booking with Magic Nature Camp was the best decision I made during my visit to Jordan. Everyone was beyond friendly and showed that they were passionate about how they live. Many highlights were seen on our overnight jeep tour including epic vistas, sandboarding, Bedouin dinner, and the Milky Way above our heads throughout the night!

The Bedouin camp offered not just adventure, but a soulful immersion into timeless hospitality, culinary delights, and the raw beauty of nature. Our adventure began in the afternoon, greeted by warm smiles from our Bedouin hosts, clad in traditional thobesand and keffiyehs. After a refreshing glass of sage-infused tea, we embarked on a thrilling 4x4 tour. The open-back Jeep navigated rust-hued dunes and granite mountains, revealing Wadi Rum’s iconic landmarks. First stop: Lawrence Spring, named after T.E. Lawrence. A modest oasis tucked into rocky cliffs, it offered a glimpse into how life persists in the desert. Next, Khazali Canyon enchanted me with ancient Nabatean petroglyphs carved into narrow fissures, whispering stories of millennia past. The Red Sand Dunes were a highlight rolling waves of apricot colored sand that we gleefully slid down, laughter echoing off the cliffs. Nearby, the whimsical Mushroom Rock stood defiantly, a testament to nature’s artistry. The tour culminated at Burdah Rock Bridge, a colossal natural arch towering 80 meters above the desert. Our guide, Ahmed, shared tales of Bedouin climbers who scale it, leaving us awestruck by their daring. Evening, the arrival at the camp: Back at the camp a cluster of cozy tents and a communal majlis adorned with carpets—we were welcomed with steaming cups of sweet, cardamom-spiced tea. Dinner was a revelation: Zarb, a Bedouin barbecue slow-cooked in an underground sand oven. Tender lamb, fragrant rice, and caramelized vegetables emerged, infused with smoky perfection. Shared platters fostered camaraderie, while stories flowed under a canopy of emerging stars. How was the night: As darkness enveloped the desert, the sky transformed into a glittering tapestry. The Milky Way arched overhead, constellations vivid enough to touch. Ahmed pointed out Sirius and Orion, recounting Bedouin navigation lore. Sipping more tea by the crackling fire, we also have listened to traditional oud music, it was creating a beautiful atmosphere. The Bedouins’ warmth was palpable. They spoke of desert life—generations living in harmony with this harsh yet nurturing land. Their laughter was infectious, their hospitality boundless. The chilly desert night was no match for the layers of warmth, and the silence profound and peaceful lulled us into deep slumber. Sunrise and breakfast of the next day Dawn broke with hues of rose and gold, illuminating the cliffs. We climbed a nearby dune, breathless as the sun ascended, setting the desert ablaze. Breakfast awaited: freshly baked flatbread, creamy hummus, tangy labneh, olives, and sweets paired with more of that beloved spiced tea. everything was so good I really appreciated every single moment. Final reflections A day in Wadi Rum is more than a tour; it’s a dialogue with the earth and its people. From the adrenaline of the Jeep tour to the serenity of nights full of stars, every moment resonated with authenticity. The Bedouins, with their generosity and wisdom, transformed our visit into a cherished memory. For those yearning to disconnect and rediscover life’s simplicity, Wadi Rum’s embrace awaits. Just bring an open hear and the desert will handle the rest. Pro tip: Visit in spring or autumn for mild temperatures, and don’t forget your camera (and a sense of wonder).
