in the last weekI recently visited the Madaba Mosaic School and was genuinely impressed by the craftsmanship and dedication of the artists working there. The mosaics are beautiful, detailed, and clearly created with great skill and patience. However, I couldn’t ignore the strong commercial atmosphere surrounding the visit. While I completely understand the need to support the school and the artists, the experience felt heavily sales-oriented. There was a constant push toward purchasing items. The artistic work itself is outstanding and definitely worth seeing. Just be prepared for a very commercial approach that may take away from the authenticity of the experience if you’re expecting a purely cultural visit.

10 months agoThe Institute of Mosaic Art and Restoration in Madaba, Jordan I visited it during my trip on the Jordan Trail on January 13, 2025. I would like to thank the staff, especially Salah, who gave us a comprehensive explanation. Admission is free, and there is a practical demonstration in front of you, allowing you to try and apply some of the works.
