a week agoBest fish food we have had in Jordan However oposite is one of the best and cheapest falafel "restaurants" in downtown Amman, if U feel like a very good fish meal at moderate prices, just drop in across the road - there is a fishmonger store on the ground floor and restaurant on the first floor, it means the fish is fresher than in the restaurants. Most of the main courses cost 8JOD (2/2026) incl. salmon and it contained soup, french fries, tahini plate, local bread and a huge portion of fish and rice, the rice was gently flavoured with some spices and almonds (or pine seeds?). That's to say I always eat a lot but I wasn't able to eat it. I expected they would charge me much more because of the other side dishes, but the bill was really only 8JOD + tax 1.30 (that figures on the menu). Must admit that they may charge you (?) a big bottle of water they put on yr table, but I don't know, as I didn't want that. Don't be put off by the fact that there are almost no people in the main room. Everyone wants to sit on the balcony/terrace where are only some 5 tables there as the natives wanna see the hum down on the main street (?). We definitely recommend this restaurant and the best fish meal we've had in all Jordan, without any exaggeration!
