    The place isn't anything special for non-enthusiasts, but it's worth a look. There's still a lot of work to be done, but no one's in a hurry. Accessible to people with reduced mobility. Free access.

    Right across the street, the first feature in the Byzantine western extension of the curtain wall is a gap. This gap represents an Umayyad period gate. The rooms right beyond the gate represent extra-mural Late Byzantine additions. The site, though interesting, is not developed for tourism, so a passing look should be enough for most people.
