When we arrived that night to check in, four women were taken to a reception desk instead of being shown to our room. The room contained an empty, old table and two old armchairs. A 23-year-old man, the owner, told us that to access the room, we needed to pay 200 Jordanian dinars in cash, as we didn't have a reservation on Booking. We already had a reservation, and as you can see from our payment, we said we wanted to pay it on the system. Since we were traveling from Türkiye, we'd been on the road for more than a day and were very tired. This man told us we wouldn't have a room if we didn't pay. We couldn't understand what was going on. He took our phone and told us to show him the reservation, so we did. He tried to cancel our reservation on Booking. We panicked, asked why he was doing this, and still couldn't understand. He harshly told us, "You want to stay here for cheap, I won't allow that." We made a reservation here at the price we got from Booking. Even though we said we wanted to go to our room now, he got harsh with us. He called someone, and another man came and wanted to see our reservation again. This time, I didn't let him take my phone, but he tried to press the cancel button. We later realized he was trying to overcharge us by canceling our reservation and saying, "Look, your room isn't there," and taking 200 dinars from us. I told him that two men and four women, exhausted, were trying to scam us and that I would report this to Booking. He initially ignored it, then got scared, but still said, "This payment is a condition; we have to." We didn't pay, and we were very scared and panicked. In the middle of the desert, in the middle of the night, exhausted and afraid, we panicked, and a third man arrived. I'll say it again: we were threatened in a dark desert in an Arab country, alone. I told them we were going to the police and complain to them. They insisted they wouldn't give us our room. "This booking fee is too low," they said, "I want 200 more dinars." We loaded our belongings into the car and said we were going to the police. He came after us and said, "Okay, pay the booking fee, I'll drop it off in your room." Because we were all so scared and didn't feel safe, we got in the car and went to the police on the street. Then this man said, "I charge everyone an extra 200 dinars. Come, let me introduce you to other tourists." We drove for an hour to get to the police. When we arrived, the police didn't speak English well and said, "I can't help you. Go to the tourist spot." We went, and there were a lot of men there. They told us to get out of the car and come to our room. We were terrified and didn't go. Panicked, we didn't know what to do. We called the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs call center. We explained the situation, and they took notes, saying they would forward it to the Jordanian embassy. We set out to find another place and went to the police near Aqaba. We explained it to them, but they didn't understand English and couldn't help us. Meanwhile, the embassy contacted us on WhatsApp and said there was nothing they could do. We were terrified, feeling very vulnerable. We found a hotel through Booking. We went there, and we couldn't sleep that night because of all the fear. We were so happy about the Capsule Hotel in the desert, but our entire vacation was ruined. We couldn't take the desert tour we wanted! That's why we planned this vacation, but our dream came true, and we wanted to be scammed. We trusted Booking. We made this reservation, and we were terrified and disappointed. Our entire trip was ruined! Now I'm asking you, do you want to say anything to us about this? This can't be the first time you've received a complaint about this hotel!! These scammers say they do this to everyone. Hasn't anyone complained to you?

A very respectable camp with great service and a family-friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it, and the prices are reasonable.

Disappointing. This camp is not luxurious. It is a basic camp. The bubble tents are extremely hot even with the AC at full power and the curtains were not hung properly so it was a struggle to block out the sun. The generator failed and they moved us to another camp which was actually nicer. At least it had some rugs in the tent and the curtains worked. The cost of the stay was low, but they don’t post any prices for the tours which are very expensive, and that is where they get you. There is absolutely nothing to do unless you book their tours. I arrived at 9am and the tour didn’t start until 2pm. There isn’t any area to sit, just the basic dining room or your hot bubble tent. The jeep tour was fun. The star gazing tour was awful. Another couple who went the night before had great pics taken by their guide. I had a dif guide and unfortunately the few pics I had were awful and looked nothing like what the couple had shown me. I give this 2 stars only because the location deserves better.

You reach the lodge via a short jeep ride into the desert
