in the last weekVisited in February 2026. Jordan 🇯🇴, Petra. We chose this hotel because of its immediate proximity to Petra and our previous positive experiences with the Mövenpick brand, which we generally trust for consistent quality. ROOMS: We stayed in a relatively compact room with a king-size bed and a small sofa. The room was clean but slightly worn — it’s clear the hotel has been operating for quite some time. There was a mild unpleasant smell upon arrival, but the hotel team promptly arranged additional cleaning, and the issue was resolved quickly. FACILITIES: The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, although renovation works were ongoing during our stay. Fortunately, we did not hear any construction noise in the room, and it did not affect our experience. Since we visited in winter, the pool was not in use anyway. There is also a decent gym and a sauna, which is separated for men and women. DINING: We tried the dinner buffet, priced at 26 JOD per person, excluding drinks — even water was not included, which felt slightly unusual, as non-alcoholic beverages are often part of buffet dinners. The selection at dinner was extensive, and the food was very tasty overall. Dining in Petra is generally expensive, so this buffet felt like a practical and worthwhile option. Breakfast was noticeably weaker compared to dinner. While there were eggs, spreads, and vegetables available, we felt there was a lack of more substantial protein options. SERVICE: Service was excellent. All requests were handled quickly, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Any issues or concerns were addressed professionally, clearly reflecting a customer-oriented approach. VERDICT: While the hotel may seem slightly expensive, its location is unbeatable for visiting Petra. Combined with good service and comfortable rooms, it remains a strong option. There are minor drawbacks, but overall they felt insignificant compared to the convenience and hospitality provided.

in the last weekI am traveling with a tour group and was booked at this hotel. It is the perfect spot to be for touring Petra. The hotel is clean and inviting. The staff friendly and the food tasty. My room is perfect. Everything is neat and clean and the housekeeping staff, Yahya and Hamza, are providing personalized service. I would definitely come back here again.

in the last weekOverall, we had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff and service were excellent throughout — warm, attentive, and very professional. We were generously given early check-in and late check-out, along with an upgrade to a better room, which made the stay even more comfortable. The food was great, and the location is truly amazing and very convenient. The only issue we encountered was with transportation arranged through the hotel. After requesting a car, a driver contacted me via WhatsApp claiming he had been arranged by the hotel and showed up to pick us up. During the ride, he switched cars at a stop and then drove us to the hotel. He insisted on cash upfront. On our return to the airport, we later discovered that he was not actually arranged by the hotel. It appears that someone may have shared my phone number, and the ride ended up costing $400 total, whereas the standard rate should have been about $100 one way. To their credit, the hotel was very apologetic and is actively trying to get to the bottom of what happened. Aside from this concerning incident, the hospitality, service, and overall experience at the hotel were excellent.

in the last weekExcellent location, good rooms, and very friendly staff but the dining options (and quality) are a massive weakness! Struggled to enjoy any of the meals during our two nights there. The Spa facilities are a massive letdown too and some of the prices are extortionate (€15 for a bottle of sparkling water!). Does not qualify as a 5 star property. Special shout out to Jawwad, Hamza and Mutaz. You guys were amazing!
